(1)Even if the user accepts the download he or she will not be infected. The user must download and run the files they received....So if u see the file have suspicious name like name%.exe, photo.com.exe and etc. Just scan it using u antivirus before opening it.
(2)if u lazy to scan everytime receive a file.....then open u msn messenger,open Tools>Options>File Transfer, then tick the box [ ] beside *Scan files for viruses using* , then Browse for u antivirus installation path, then press ok.

GeForce 9 will come for next year?(well maybe)

According to DigiTimes, nVidia is set to launch its GeForce 9 GPU come February next year, just after Chinese New Year. Details are a bit sketchy but from what we read, the first chip that will be rolling out will be the D9E which uses the 65nm manufacturing process. The cards based on the GPU will of course be supporting DirectX 10.1 as well as shader model 4.1. Also, according to DigiTimes source, a mid range family of the GeForce 9 can called the D9P can be expected in Jun 2008. Mind you all this is based on DigiTimes source so there is still no way to confirm it fully so stay tuned for more updates.

KUALA LUMPUR: If you download material illegally from the Internet, be prepared to fork out a minimum fine of RM250,000. ..... :(

This is the warning from the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry to Malaysians who continue to illegally download songs, videos and the like.

Although this penalty was legislated more than 10 years ago under the Copyright Act, it has yet to be fully enforced.

This was because the Government was still focusing on “physical enforcement”, encompassing continuous efforts to weed out pirated DVDs, VCDs and CDs sold on the streets and their operators.

Deputy Minister Datuk S. Veerasingam said yesterday that while this remains their main priority, cracking down on Internet download offenders was also gaining momentum.

“For the past three years, we have seen a significant reduction in copyright pirates. This is due to the continuous efforts of our enforcement officers.

“We will also very soon make Internet download offenders our priority,” he said.

Veerasingam was speaking to reporters after opening the Wipo Asia-Pacific Regional Seminar on the Issues and Recent Developments of the Wipo Copyright Treaty and the Wipo Performances and Phonograms Treaty on behalf of the minister.

More than 75 participants from 11 countries are taking part in the three-day seminar.

Veerasingam said that the maximum fine for downloading material illegally from the Internet was a whopping RM500,000.

WARNING:Perform at your own risk!

1)Go to My Computer -> right-click your hard drives and CLICK on "Properties", UNCHECK "Allow Indexing", and hit ignore all if a prompt comes up, click apply, then OK.
*This turns off a useless categorizing function in windows that makes your computer spend tons of cpu speed arranging your files to make them display in searches faster*

2)Turn off fancy windows XP effects, LOL...if you want performance then you must sacrifice some effect
First,right-click "My Computer" and click on PROPERTIES, click on the Advanced TAB,
after that, click on the BUTTON "Settings" in the Performance BOX
Then,UNCHECK
~Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
~Fade or slide menus into view
~Fade or slide ToolTips into view
~Fade out menu items after clicking
~Slide open combo boxes
~Slide taskbar buttons
Click Apply, then OK
*This allows for your windows XP to still look pretty and perform much faster*

3)Defrag your computer
3a)Go to My Computer, right-click all your hard drive, click "Properties",
3b)click on the "Tools" TAB and "Defragment now" button. In the utility,
3c)start and complete the defragment process for all your hard drives
NOTE: You should have at least 15% of free space on each hard drive to efficiently defrag.

4)This is the best way for a *beginners* or *noob* in computer
